Your high school counselor will hopefully be a great resource for questions along the way, whether it be pointing you to potential college majors, standardized test advice, local college fair details, local scholarship information, and help with high school course selection. Do not overload your schedule so shoot for one visit per day.

For all five of those years, I interacted with hopeful high school students from all over the world as a Campus Tour Guide. My smallest tours consisted of ten people; my largest tours hovered around two-hundred. Letters & Numbers: SATs, ACTs, and GPAs. What did you write about in your college essays ?

This huge jump is mainly because of factors shaped by COVID-19, particularly colleges implementing test-optional policies , which made it easier for students to apply without standardized test scores. The admissions process is highly competitive, and even top students get rejected despite high GPAs or perfect ACT/SAT scores.
