Ten years ago, UT received less than a thousand CS applicants. Now, it wouldn’t surprise me if more than 6,000 applied for an admissions rate of less than 15%. For fall 2019, 729 CS applicants gained admission with 403 enrolling.

Why are you interested in the major you indicated as your first-choice major? I appreciate the change in prompt because students need to cover less territory.
