Many colleges have still not decided if they will become permanently test-optional for admissions.

The University of California system has moved their deadline to May 15 for all nine UC campuses, with the exception of out-of-state and international students accepted to UC Berkeley. Coffin makes the point several times that the decision came after an internal study of admissions data for the last few years at Dartmouth.
