For the Class of 2029 and beyond, Dartmouth has reinstated its standardized testing requirement. In the past, 34% of applicants on average chose to omit standardized test scores from their application, a number which will be 0% for the Class of 2029 onward. What are Dartmouth’s ACT requirements?

Brown followed the lead of Dartmouth College and Yale University who will also require standardized test scores , effective for the Class of 2029. Harvard University reversed course on its test-optional commitment just a week ago. There are other standardized tests (AP, IB, etc.)

DARTMOUTH REINSTATES STANDARDIZED TESTING Just a few days ago, Dartmouth announced that it would be reinstating its standardized testing requirements , beginning with next year’s Class of 2029. Last year, 14% of students admitted via early decision were related to Dartmouth alumni.

Standardized Tests Many international exam systems operate on a different schedule from the US system, so when it comes to systems such as the British A-Levels they rely on the predicted results, “as provided by your school officials.” Most students who go to Brown submit a test score, so let that work in your favor.

Harvard University also backtracked from its two-year test-optional commitment when it announced it would require standardized test scores , effective for the Class of 2029. It remains to be seen whether or not Columbia will waver in its decision to eliminate testing requirements for undergraduate admissions.
